This is the final part of the trilogy. :-) One thing that Pastor Mark Morrow said that really stood out for me is this...He said four things every church planter needs to focus on when planting a church are:
1. Having great worship (music)
2. Great Children's ministry
3. Great Hospitality (Friendliness)
4. Great Preaching
He compared having all four of these things to having a table (church) with four strong legs. These four basic things need to be in place as you plant a church. I totally agree with him. These are areas that I would look for in a church if I was out shopping.
One of my biggest strengths going into planting a church is that I never grew up in church, I was unchurched, actually I was pretty messed up when I first walked into a church. I feel I can minister to and appreciate where those who are unchurched or dechurched comes from. I am looking forward to whatever God has for me...Lord, allow my dreams to become reality.
