Is anyone crying for help? God is listening,
ready to rescue you.
If your heart is broken, you'll find God right there;
if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath.
Disciples so often get into trouble;
Psalm 34:17-19 (The Message)
Broken Again by Another Animal
Nothing
Seem to be just what I've become
With every ounce of faith I give
Still feel it all coming undone
Day by day
I feel you slippin’ away
The more I crumble
The more I need to pray
All the things you try to hide
And every time you had to lie
I’m broken
Every smile I had to fake
And every time I want to break
I’m broken again
You can’t break me (You can’t break me)
You can’t break me (You can’t break me)
You can’t break me
You can’t break me
You can’t break me
Why do we as Christ followers say to God you can't break me? Why do we try to hide behind
superficial masks? I think the hope of a Savior who was broken for us can bring healing to our
brokenness is amazing.
For me I come to God daily acknowledging my brokenness and I pray that He would bring
wholeness to my life, that He would bring to a place of complete surrender to His will.
I am so grateful for the King of the broken, the bruised, the battered, the abused, the downcast,
He is the King of all.
Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

Lover of the wounded
Defender of the weak
Friend of the forgotten
You wipe our tears away
Heal us
Forgive us
Restore our hearts again
Fill us
Breathe upon us
Jesus, Jesus
King of our hearts
King of the broken
