Up until the last couple of centuries the arts and faith have gone together, for some reason there has been a huge disconnect and unfortunately the faith community in many ways has lost it's creative edge and has lot its edge on shaping and impacting our culture...instead the church just criticizes everything, instead we should be putting our energies in creating.
