My Personal Theme Verse For My Life

A few weeks ago as I was preparing for the message for the Scars series this thought came to me.

My greatest fear is forgetting where I came from, my greatest pain is remembering how I felt.

This passage has become my theme passage for my life...

God
made my life complete
when I placed all the pieces before him.
When I got my act together,
he gave me a fresh start.
Now I'm alert to God's ways;
I don't take God for granted.
Every day I review the ways he works;
I try not to miss a trick.
I feel put back together,
and I'm watching my step.
God rewrote the text of my life
when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.
Psalm 18:20-24 - The Message

I so relate to this passage of Scripture...over the years my life has been so smashed to pieces and broken, however when I brought those piece before the Throne of my God and my King, He has made me whole again. See I never want to forget where I came from, yes I remember the pain of parts of my past like it was yesterday, but I am who I am today because of what I went through. I look at my scars now as God's healing in my life.

God continues to work in my life and I so thankful that He has rewrote the text the story of my life. I feel so blessed to walk in His redemption plan for my life.

I never want to ever close my life and my heart to His eyes. I want Him to continue to search me and continue to work in and through me. Oh Lord, I lay my life before you guide me and fashion me until every part is how you desire. Amen

Here are parts of two songs that have become my theme songs through out my life.

My Own Prison by Creed
I cry out to God
Seeking only his decision
Gabriel stands and confirms
I've created my own prison

Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
And I don´t want the world to see me
Cause I don´t think that they´d understand
When everything´s made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

However, to juxtapose those songs with where I am now and my heart's cry as I continue to live out my life on this amazing journey.

Fashion by Jason Morant
Come invade my very heart
Change me until
I am who You are
Come and fashion me
Until every part is how You desire
